Defenders hired in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Judicial Districts

Congratulations to Jay Logsdon, Joanna McFarland, Isaiah Govia, and Tony Geddes, who have been selected as the District Public Defenders for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Judicial Districts for the State Public Defender (SPD).

Geddes is the lead public defender for Ada County. Logsdon had just taken over as lead defender in Kootenai County on July 15.  McFarland is a Lewiston-based private attorney who has concentrated on public defense cases in the 2nd District for over a decade.

All four attorneys have deep commitments to providing zealous defense for indigent clients and are familiar with the unique rural/urban mix of their districts. Logsdon, McFarland, Govia, and Geddes join Ben Andersen, David Martinez, and Jordan Crane, who have been selected to manage public defense in the 5th, 6th, and 7th Districts.
