SUMMARY:Ethics in Public Defense
DESCRIPTION:This program will focus on ethics issues that are unique to public defenders.  During the one-hour session\, attorneys Ashley Alger and Tyler Maulsby will address the duties of competence (RPC 1.1)\, Confidentiality (RPC 1.6)\, and conduct before a tribunal (RPCs 3.2 and 3.3).  In addition\, they will discuss the considerations that lawyers face when seeking to withdraw from a matter (RPC 1.16) and when lawyers are obligated to withdraw.  \n\n\n\nEarn one State Public Defender Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit (one Idaho State Bar CLE credit pending).
