SUMMARY:CLE: Lessons from Landers
DESCRIPTION:Join experienced litigators Amy and Reed Smith from the Elmore office as they dive into “lessons learned” from their recent Landers case\, in which they got a dismissal for their client on a second-degree murder charge after filing a motion to compel disclosure of evidence during a contentious and complex preliminary hearing over a three-month period. They will discuss how to prepare a homicide case for preliminary hearing and share the specific tactics they used during the hearing. Additional topics will include investigation\, expert witness consultation\, State’s witness consultation\, preparation of cross-examination questions\, use of exhibits\, objections\, and motion practice. \n\n\n\nThis session is intended for all practice levels and will be beneficial to all. \n\n\n\nJoin us virtually on March 31st from 12:30-1:30 p.m. MT / 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. PT.
